This spreadsheet is a helpful tool for General Contractors (of any kind) who need to keep track of multiple construction jobs at once. You can use this in lieu of a project tracking software, or to supplement your accounting software’s reports. This tracks your awarded bid to your client, your draw requests and change orders billed. It also tracks your subcontractor’s awarded bids, draw requests and change orders. The database will compare the flow of money in and out to show you in real time if you are “upside down” on a project or still have plenty of profitability left over. It also will help you ensure that you’ve billed your client for every change order that was billed through your subcontractors.
